Walk left, stand right people! WALK LEFT, STAND RIGHT!!!!!

My friend sent me the following YouTube clip of the Governator carrying the Olympic torch at Stanley Park. Hilarity ensued.

That’s exactly how it happened.

This is downtown Van after the opening ceremonies on Granville Street. Very busy. On another note wasn’t Wayne Gretzky’s trek to the cauldron ridiculously long?

Was in break from training today and noticed this ridiculously long ass lineup to get into the Olympic Superstore at The Bay. Better off lining up early.

Olympic Torch Run

I was sent by my company to do some course training at the Scotia tower on Seymour and Georgia. Just by chance the Olympic torch run just happened to be on Georgia and Seymour. I took a few snapshots from my iPhone on the 16th floor. They had a bunch of coke trucks and an tbc truck and of course, the torch bearer.

The Olympic Superstore

Irene and I took my cousin Peejay downtown to look for some awesome Olympic souvenirs. Well, where do you go when you want to buy some Olympic souvenirs? Nowhere else but the OLYMPIC SUPERSTOOOORE!!!!! The Bay at Pacific Centre downtown set up a huge store inside that sells a whole bunch of Olympic crap. I was pretty amazed at how busy it was. They actually sold some decent looking pieces of clothing. On top of that it was pretty affordable stuff, which would probably explain why they only had 2XL sizes left on the racks. Irene tried to find a nice jacket, but unfortunately it was all sold out. It was getting pretty busy and we wanted to leave. When it came time to pay, we discovered that the store would only accept cash or Visa ( since Visa was an official Olympic sponsor). it was kind of annoying because I personally use MasterCard, so I had to grab cash. Anyways, if you wanna grab something from the superstore, I suggest you grab it now as they are quickly running out of inventory.

Coke Station

The Coca-Cola company must gave paid an assload of money to get each and every single advertisement with their brand on it. Granville Skytrain Station has tons of these ads. Everybody in these ads have their mouths wide open like they are ready to eat something (use your imagination peeps). Anyways I think these ads were meant to motivate and get people into the Olympic spirit to cheer on Team Canada. Its doing the opposite and I’m actually dreading the Olympics and how busy it will be. Let the games begin.

Happy Birthday to Me

My sister got me tickets to the Flames vs. Canucks game for Christmas. Whats significant about this is that Calgary is one of my favourite NHL teams. I was born in Calgary and grew up watching them play. What’s also significant is that today’s fame falls on my birthday which is today! Anyways the score right now is 1-1. GO FLAMES GO!!!!!
