Anime Evolution 2008
Yes, that’s right. Anime Evolution. I am totally into anime and manga and I want to go to this. I’ve got my two co-workers to accompany me. It was going to be canceled this year, because SFU (where the event is normally held) decided to have an academic conference at the same time as the convention. Hopefully, I can convince more people to come. It’ll be something they’ve never experienced before.

Actually this is wrong. It was canceled because the Anime Evolution folks did not reserve any space @ SFU. After repeated attempts by SFU (and the SFSS) to contact them. Once the executive of Anime Evolution did contact SFU the spaces were already booked.
